goConfirm is a way to verify yourself and add a layer of confidence and trust into all of your interactions online. When you sign up, you’ll go through a multi-layered (but quick!) authentication process to make sure you:
- Have only one account
- Are a real person, not a bot
- Are the person who has your government ID
We’re building a community of people who want to bring trust back to digital spaces. Today, we do this by verifying the identities of our users and deterring bad actors.
Whether you’re shopping Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, or Craigslist, you can create a transaction record that lets you securely exchange ConfirmIDs with your buyer or seller, share information, and keep a record of the deal.
Yes. Your biometric scan, and government document will never be shared, period. When you create a transaction, authenticated users with whom you share the link, or who you invite using your code, will be able to see your photo, first name, and the details you choose to attach to that transaction, such as meeting spot. Once the transaction is complete, any information you’ve shared will revert to private.
You’ll only have to authenticate your details and image once, and after that you can use goConfirm anywhere you transact peer-to-peer. This includes but is not limited to: Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, Craigslist, Karrot, etc.
goConfirm is totally free for buyers, sellers, and other interested parties. In the future, we may add features like support for additional payment methods that have attached fees. If you decide not to use them, you won’t lose access to any goConfirm benefits you use today.
Your goConfirm invite code is a unique, four-digit transaction ID that you can use to have a prospective buyer or seller join you on goConfirm, or invite another goConfirm user to your transaction.
